Welcome to Luana's Tales. These Terms of Service explain the rules for using our app and website. We've written them in plain English so you can actually understand them.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Luana's Tales (the "Service") — whether through our website at luanastales.com, our web app at app.luanastales.com, or any related platform — you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of a family or household, you represent that you have the authority to bind all members of that household to these terms.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The Service is designed for parents and guardians to use on behalf of children.
2. Description of Service
Luana's Tales is a subscription-based app that uses artificial intelligence to create personalised bedtime stories for children. Each story is generated uniquely based on the details you provide — such as your child's name, age, interests, and chosen adventure theme — and then narrated aloud using AI-generated voices.
The Service includes:
- AI-generated personalised stories tailored to each child profile you create
- Audio narration using premium AI voices in multiple accents and languages
- A personal story library where you can save, replay, and revisit stories
- Support for multiple child profiles (depending on your plan)
We are constantly improving the Service. Features may change, be added, or occasionally be removed. Where possible, we'll give you advance notice of significant changes.
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Access to the full features of Luana's Tales requires a paid subscription. We currently offer the following plans:
- Premium Monthly — billed each month
- Premium Annual — billed once per year (best value)
- Family Annual — billed once per year, for larger families with unlimited child profiles
- Founder Lifetime — a one-time payment for permanent access
Subscriptions are managed and processed through RevenueCat Billing with payments handled by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method at the applicable rate on a recurring basis (for monthly and annual plans).
Auto-renewal: Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. You will not receive a separate reminder before each renewal.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting us at support@luanastales.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then.
Prices are displayed in British Pounds (GBP) and may include applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change prices with reasonable advance notice to existing subscribers.
4. Free Trial
We offer a 7-day free trial for new subscribers on monthly and annual plans. During the trial period, you have full access to all features included in your chosen plan.
No charge is made during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your chosen subscription will begin and your payment method will be charged.
You may cancel at any time before the trial period ends without being charged. Cancellation instructions are available in your account settings.
The free trial is available once per customer. We reserve the right to limit or withdraw the trial offer at any time.
5. Refund Policy
As Luana's Tales provides digital content that is made available immediately upon purchase or trial conversion, we are unable to offer refunds as a matter of right under applicable consumer regulations for digital content once access has been provided.
However, we understand that things don't always go to plan. If you have a genuine issue — for example, a technical problem that prevented you from using the Service — please contact us at support@luanastales.com and we will review your situation on a case-by-case basis. We'll always try to do the right thing.
Lifetime plans are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by law.
6. Acceptable Use
Luana's Tales is intended for personal family use. When using the Service, you agree that you will not:
- Share your account credentials with anyone outside your household
- Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service or any stories generated
- Scrape, copy, or extract content from the Service by automated means
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with any part of the Service
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Generate stories containing content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, or objectionable
- Attempt to overwhelm or disrupt the infrastructure of the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.
7. AI-Generated Content
All stories created by Luana's Tales are generated by artificial intelligence models. This means:
- Stories are created algorithmically and are not individually reviewed by a human editor before delivery
- While we use guardrails and content filtering to avoid harmful output, we cannot guarantee that every story will perfectly match your expectations
- Stories should not be relied upon as educational resources, factual references, or professional advice of any kind
- The same story prompt may produce different results on different occasions
If a generated story contains content you find inappropriate, please let us know at support@luanastales.com. We take feedback seriously and use it to improve our content filters.
8. Children's Privacy
Luana's Tales is designed to be used by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children under the age of 13.
When you create a child profile, you — the parent or guardian — are providing information about your child. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you enter is accurate and appropriate.
We handle all child-related information with particular care. We do not use children's names, ages, or story content for advertising purposes. Please see our Privacy Policy for full details of how we handle this data.
If you believe a child has registered directly or provided personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately at support@luanastales.com.
9. Intellectual Property
The Luana's Tales brand, logo, website design, and underlying technology are owned by Luana's Tales and protected by applicable intellectual property law.
Stories generated through the Service are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use within your household. You may not distribute, publish, or sell generated stories without our prior written consent.
Any content you submit to personalise stories (such as your child's name or interests) remains yours. By submitting it, you grant us a limited licence to use it solely for the purpose of generating your stories and improving the Service.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Luana's Tales and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including, but not limited to, loss of data, loss of access, or dissatisfaction with generated content.
Our total liability to you in any calendar month shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in that month (or, for lifetime plans, a reasonable pro-rated amount).
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer based in the European Union, you may also benefit from the mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (using the address associated with your account) and/or by displaying a notice within the app. We'll always give you reasonable notice before significant changes take effect.
Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.
